Dojo Class Fees as of August 2006:

AAKS is a non-profit organization but requires monthly dues from students to pay the monthly operating business costs (rent, utilities, maintenance). AAKS does not require a contract or any other obligation other than paying dues for the months you practice (please note that testing requirements include practice over a number of continual months, however). You may pay each month or pre-pay for any number of months. Dues are not refundable once paid.

All Fees listed herein include unlimited class attendance per month.

ADULTS---$100/month (this includes the initiation fee)

STUDENTS (full time): --- $50/month (this includes the initiation fee)

FAMILY: Full dues ($100/month) for the first family member to practice; 50% Off for the second and third family member; if more than 3 family members join, everyone else is free (except they each need to pay $40 for the membership initiation fee & they are each required to pay the $15.00 annual dues). Immediate family only - spouse and children only; cousins, uncles, aunts etc are NOT covered under this arrangement.

MAT FEE---$15. This fee applies to visitors from other dojos or from out of town that wish to train for a night at the dojo. Payable prior to class. This fee does not apply to those paying the full monthly rate.

ANNUAL DUES:--- $15.00 (Payable in December). These are sent to Headquarters in Japan and are required to maintain your membership in Ki Society.

NOTE: Everyone is required to pay the annual dues for the year they join Ki Society. Depending on when you join the dojo, you may or may not be required to pay the annual dues for the following year: If someone joins between between July 1 and December 31 they are exempt from paying annual dues for the following year. This is the ONLY exemption. This means that if someone joins between January 1 and June 30 they are required to pay annual dues for the following year.
