Chief Instructor: Kirk Fowler Sensei
SENSEI KIRK FOWLER
7TH DAN and FULL KI LECTURER
Kirk Fowler Sensei was born in Long Beach, CA on October 21, 1936. Fowler Sensei served in the United States Navy for 3 years. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Fowler Sensei attended Western Washington University where he earned a Bachelors Degree in History and a Minor in Social Psychology. On graduation from college, Fowler Sensei joined the United States Border Patrol where he served for 5 years. In 1966, Fowler Sensei accepted a position with the Immigration and Naturalization Service (INS) in New York City, where he began his study of Aikido under Yoshimitsu Yamada Sensei (Direct student of the founder of Aikido). Fowler Sensei began teaching Aikido in New York City at the rank of Nidan in 1969. |
